The challenge was to create a visual identity for a Jiu Jitsu academy that could operate beyond sport alone. The brand needed to balance discipline and performance with lifestyle and community, avoiding clichés of fight culture while still feeling authentic to the sport.
The identity had to work consistently across physical spaces, apparel, and everyday touchpoints inside the academy, supporting both training and brand presence.
The objective was to build a clear and adaptable brand system that could represent the academy as a professional training environment and a lifestyle-driven community. The identity needed to feel confident, structured, and approachable, appealing not only to practitioners but also to families, newcomers, and long-term members.
A cohesive visual system was developed, starting with the logo and colour variations, supported by a defined typographic structure. The identity was applied across key touchpoints, including exterior and interior signage, apparel for training and lifestyle use, and branded elements within the academy space.
The result is a versatile and grounded brand presence that functions seamlessly in real-world environments, reinforcing credibility, belonging, and consistency across both sport and lifestyle contexts.
